Need Help on weird H1 situation

Hi

I have a H1B from Company A, but my payroll and W2 are issued by company B. Do you see any problem when I go to India for H1b Stamping. My employers name on W2 is Company B, but it also mentions Company A as the Worksite Locations, on the Summary sheet which comes with W2.

Any help would be gretly appreciated.

There must be some relation!!

There must be some document where they woiuld have explained how the companies are linked.

Probably your H1 petition would mention the taxiD of the company B. Or your paystub may be on company B's letterhead but the taxid mentioned on it would be of Company A.

If you have any document or if you can get a document explaining the relationship, then you shouldnt have any problem.

My case was exactly same as yours. My Peition was from Company A and Paystubs from Company B. However all documentation was on Company B's leterhead and they had explained to INS that company A is fully owned subsidiary of company B.

Surprisingly the copy of H1B petition I have does not have any Tax Id number of company A, in fact it is blank. Also my paystub just shows the Company A's name, and does not have a Tax Id number.
