Need Help on H4.

Hi All.
My h1b expires on 14th April 2002. I have not yet send a request for extension. I got married on 15th March, and would like to get my wife here asap.

What are my options... should i first extend my visa and later ask her to go for h4 or let her go now and see what they tell her.

AS visa validity would be just 2 weeks at the time of the interview for h4?

Where are you in US or elsewhere?

It all depends on this fact. If you are not in the US, you can try for H4 with a letter from employer saying that H1 extension will be filed as soon as you enter US.

If you are in US, file for H1 extension and attach a letter from attorney or employer to that effect and try. Most that can happen is that the consulate will ask your spouse to wait for the H1 extension approval.
However if there are other factors (like your employer is in the consulate\'s suspect list, your spouse\'s visa earlier was rejected or not enough documentation about marriage, job, salary etc.) that are against you, your wife might be stuck for a longer time.
Consult your attorney about strategy. It is worth it.

H4 URGENT I am already in US

Hi,
I am already in US and i have letters from employment and think have all the necessary documents.
I dont think Prudential Securities is in any way in the consulates watch list

Rest all depends on luck
