need help on h4 visa

I came to US in August 2004 on h1 visa and my spouse arrived in March 2005.I moved to new company on March 15th and I got new h1 recently,but my spouse h4 remained same bcaz my new employer says no need for new h4 for spouse since spouse i-94 expires in 2007.Is it correct?pl advice me in this regard.

----------- that is OK but he need to file H4 extension BEFORE his I-94 gets expired.
pl advice me in this regard.
