Need help on DV visa

Hi I am a SL ,have won a DV 1 visa and a student in UK. Problem is I have 2 more years left for me to complete my degree. DV visa i have to travel to US within 6 months to get it activated. Can i just get my visa activated and come back to UK, then return back .to US. Is there a maximm length i am allowed stay out of US. Also please let me how these will affect my Green card application

Hi All,
Currently I am in US on F1 for the last 6 yrs. I won DV2009 and am planning to do CP. My concern is Police Certificate. Do I need to have a Police certificate from both my home country and US, or only the one from my home country will be sufficient.

only from your home country and countries that u have lived for atleast six months since you turned 16yrs old

Thanks Tazmania, I searched but not that successful.. Do i have to apply for re-entry permit when i am in US, or can i leave US and apply for one. If i have to do in US , Do u have any idea of the processing time

You can only apply in the U.S for it, but the major problem since this year is, you need biometrics for it and it will take up to 6 weeks before USCIS make a appointment for it.
