Hello,

has anyone had experience to land Canada for canadian GC and come back to US in the H1 visa? Do I need go to US embassy in Canada to get my H1 visa stamped before I can re-enter the US. I remember that if you go to Canada or Mexica and come back to US within 30 days, you don't have to stamp your H1 visa. But I am told by my lawyer that the police has been changed now. I have to go to US embassy in Canada to validate my H1 visa. Thanks so much in advance

I lended in Canada and returned to US on H1. Your lower is wright that police changed. If you have a valid H-1 stamp in your passport ( which was my case) you can enter without going for new H-1. But if you have a lowfull status here on H-1 but your stamp expierd you have to get a new one in Canada. We did not have any problem entering US. We returned crossing the bridge on Niagara.
I wish you luck and if you have any further questions, please let me know. This website has onither forum for people like you and me. Unfortunatelly, I did not know that when I needed.
Good luck. :)

Thanks Guys,

I don't have a valid H1(or stamp in my passport). I have to try my valid I-94(for my H1 visa) first, if I am denied, Then I will try my AP. I hope I can get back without any problems. Thanks again.

If you never had a H1 stamp in your passport, then you should have one to re-enter from Canada or anyother country.

If you have an expired H1 stamp and if you visited less than 30 days, then you can return back.

Just want to update you in case someone need this info. Will post my landing experience later

I used my valid I-94 and H1 approval notice to re-enter US. POE officer said nothing and just let me go.

Thanks for posting your experince.
Does it mean you did not fill out the new I-94?
I aslo used my valid I-94 when I reentered US.
