Here is the back ground:
I sponsored my brother family and they are now schedule to be interview at the end of March 2006. My brother son is 20 yrs old and he has a girl friend and want to get marry with her.
Is there anyway he can bring her with him? Can he do anything now, before his interview date? or after his interview and grant visa for enter US.
Can someone please advise?
Thanks

From what I know your brother's son better not get married as it will change his category. Also he can't bring her girlfriend even if he gets married until he gets green card and then file for her girlfriend, which take 5 yrs or so.

There is following-to-join

I want to know, if he get marry after he granted the Visa to enter US (he has 180 days to enter US). During this 180 days he get marry then enter US by him self. While he is in US, can he apply for I-824 to adjust the status for his wife as using following-to-join benefit. I don't know this will apply in this case.

I dont think that is a good idea. He doesnt became a permanent resident until he enters the country. When he pass customs at the airport and take his biometrics then he is a LPR.

If he get marry before he enters the country, he is puting his GC at risk since he will be a marry man and his GC was given to him as a single.
In other words, if he gets marry his GC would not be valid, and CIS may revoke his GC since he obtained a GC that was for a single man.

There are a couple of similar cases like this, that they didnt have any problems but when applying for citizenship CIS deported them..
take a look to this similart story: http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=205359

The best way to do it is once he is in the country... then... marry her... and apply for a relative visa... it will take a couple of years but it is safe...

Consult with a lawyer... too...
