Need help in Extension of present L1B visa

hello all,
I have valid L1B(individual) visa until oct 14, 2011,
1. Can I apply for L1B extension now?
2. when i came from india on may 15,2011 , even though i had valid L1-B visa,immigration officer stamped B1 on my I-94, and issued I-94 until Nov 14-2011, since my I-94 stamped as B1, will this affect my extension of present L1-B visa?

Please suggest some idea on this.
 
Hi tmvinod,
1.Extension using Form I-539 can be applied only 45 days prior to expiry of present status.
2.Well all data and records are with USCIS since only they are maintaining it solely so may be you might have to explain.
