Need Help For Filing I-485

MY HUSBAND IS READY TO FILE I-485. HOWEVER, EVENTHOUGH HIS VISA EXPIRES IN 2005, HIS I-94 EXPIRES PRETTY SOON (JUNE 2002). SHOULD HE FILE ANYWAY NOW? OR NEED TO RENEW HIS I-94?
 
File now. I94 expiry will not affect 485 application

In fact after filing 485 , the applicant need not worry about I94 at all anymore.
