So all chinese have their Master's and all africans are unskilled, if this could help you. BTW, Have you seen "Rush Hour 1", you will see how black americans think about chinese.

It has nothing to do with me. If had the power, I would also eliminate family-based green cards outside of the spouse and minor children and put those in employment-based. I am from a country that uses very few employment based green cards, so this is nothing to do with bringing in more people like me.
People should get here on their merit and proven potential to contribute to the USA, not by the roll of a dice or bouncing of some ping pong balls, or who matches their DNA.
I point out the DV lottery because too many people who get it don't appreciate it, and they ultimately end up abandoning it. Those green cards should go to people who really want to stay here to contribute and won't waste it.
The qualifications and experience of people on work visa needs to verified 100%.
Not only are they taking up jobs here but jobs are being outsourced to that country too.
In family based visa, I would keep Parents of green card holders/citizens also besides spouses and children minor or over 21 but unmarried.
US is not responsible for what European colonists did in Africa. US is not responsible for what Mugabe is doing in Zimbabwe, US is not resposible for what Black of North of sudan calling themselves Arabs are doing to other blacks of the south of Sudan.
US is not resposible for what happened in sierra leone, liberia, congo, angola, rwanda, etc. The problem is poor leadership and inter-tribal rivalries.
And Lotto also includes countries that are not in africa. So being against the idea of Lotto gc has got nothing to do with Africa.

You don't need to apologize anything, sweetie. I understand sometimes we all say things which shouldn't be said ....It could be because of emotions, anger, frustration or whatever. As for people to use bad words to describe other countries then I don't think I should warn them to use those words for other countries and this country unless they also use profanity. I mean, we don't have to agree with what people think and say, but we should try to keep the discussion in a polite way being adults. We are not kids, right?? lol...We can not and should not stop people expressing their views and opionions even though we might disagree with thier opinions. This is the fundamental right this country provides under Ist Amendment. But we can certainly stop and block profanity. Besides, if others have used or still use profanity then let them use...but don't be like them; otherwise what would be the difference between you and them?? You don't want to be like others who are still not matured yet or not educated enough to keep the discussion politely...right? Just report them to any moderator with the link of their posting and the reason as to why do you think they should be warned. Any moderator will take care of them.
As for me, then as you know that I don't visit here that much...and I don't read all the postings as welll...so obviously I don't know who use those kind of wordings. You and anyone can let any moderator to know so we could keep this forum clean. I have not read this thread in its entirety to know what's going on here; rather somebody reported to me of your such posting wherein you used that langauge. I didn't issue a warning to you; instead just wanted you to keep things polite. I hope you understand where I'm coming from on this...

I didn't see that movie. Is it something of hate and prejudice ? That you feel funny about? now you feels joyful at some stereotype thinking that movie claims to show that black americans have for chinese!!
This guy has brought race, africans into Green card lotto as if green card lotto was only designed by US to atone for colonization of africa by Europeans! As if lotto was for only people from africa only!
As if every poor and uneducated african had equal chance to win it!!!
As if all of rest of the World specially USA should feel guilty and responsible for what some european countries did years ago in Africa!
Get a life.
Lotto should be done away with, just like employment visas. US should take care of its own citizens first just like the rest of the World including African countries do.

Too many "one person" on this forum ? The lottery brings more than 50000 people to the US each year and you base your judgement on one person on this forum. I know people who have gained visas through family members and who don't move here as ITT. Distribution among countries for DV Visas is adjustated based on the performance of the new immigrants.
For example, my country got around 500 in 2002 and since it was determined that people are performing here very well (Higher education, army), they increased to 3000 for 2003. That is how I came here and I am proud of this country. I have no uncle, aunt or brother here, and I would have never been what I am now without the lotto, so I strongly support it.
I completed my master's here and I am being a great asset to this country and to the community, more than what some employment based visa holders.
The reason why the bill to stop the lotto did not pass in Congress is that they know ultimately that this country needs people from different backgrounds. Employment based visas are primarely issued in several countries and family based visas are offered to people who have someone here.
If you want to make a case for increasing family based visas and employment visas, you are free to make it and I will support you. But, if you think that Visa Lotery is bnot a good think, I cannot agree, because I know the opposite.
