Hello

I was born in Bangladesh and came to New York when I was very young and overstayed my Visa. I just recently married the love of my life who received her Citizenship over 5 years ago. I would now like to file for Adjustment of Status through my wife and would like to know exactly what forms we need to fill out. I am attending college with my own money and cant afford a lawyer, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Do not worry

For Spouse of Citizens and Parents of citizens the additional requirment of filing Supplement 485A and penalty of $1000 are waived.

You will need to file I-130 and I-485 with all other applicable documents as proff including the medicals etc.

There is no need to file Supplement 485A in my opinion, check out

page 2, section 1(c)

Don't even mention the I-485A and the $1000 fine. It's not required for Immediate Relatives, and new petitioners are not eligible for this relief.

Thank you all for the replies. I was also wondering if I can send both I-130 and I-485 applications in one package, with two seperate checks, or should I mail them seperately?
