Need help After getting GC

Hello,
Me and my husband got gc recently.I have few questions after we get Gc

1.do we need to apply for another ssn?
2.do we need to get stamping in our passport .if so is the applicationi-90 works or any suggestions.
3.do we need to renew DL?

Any help would be appericiated.

i was a reading all these forums day in n day out and these forums helped me so much.Hope everyone gets there GC soon.

Got rfe for my hus on june 8th 2008.rfe is abt what is my husband doing all these yrs so we submitted workexperience letters.rfe recieved by uscis on june 11th 2008

1. No you'll keep the same number. But you should visit the local SS office to apply for a new SS card, which will have the same number but the employment restriction wording will be removed. Doing that will ensure that your PR status is now in the SS database.

2. No. The stamping is only for people who had their GC approved but still haven't received the card after a long time.

3. No, you can wait until it expires. Unless your state has a specific rule about having to replace the DL immediately when you become a permanent resident, even if the DL hasn't expired and isn't close to expiring yet (I am not aware of any like states that though ... visit your state's DMV web site to find out).

No, you dont have to submit your H1B to anybody. just enjoy your green for the rest of your life.
