Need desperate help with marriage not working out

Unfortunately my current marriage is not running smooth. We both just filed I-751 to remove conditions from my GC. Can someone tell me what are stages in I-751 processing & maximum time it takes. Also correct me if I am wrong on these 2

a) I think only when the divorce is finally granted, then only it is counted. If that day is even 1 day before I-751 is approved, it will get cancelled & I have to file again. In that case usually what all documents & resons are sufficient to explain that marriage was done in good faith
b) If final divorce comes after approval then I will be given unconditional GC. And I think in this case I have to wait another 3 yrs to file for citizenshipBut then can that be seen as a issue when applying for citizenship

a. The same kind of documents you need if there had been no divorce, the more the better in this case. You will also need a waiver.
b. Yes. There is no issue when applying for citizenship if you wait the required time before filing. The citizenship application at that point is not dependent on the marriage.

Many marriages do not run smooth at some point and go through a rough patch. Try to oil the engine during the rough times. Very seldom is divorce the optimal solution. But then I am not in your shoes.
