My wife came to US in June 2004 on H4 visa valid till June 2005. In December 2004 her H1B visa got approved ( Change of status from H4 to H1B) with a starting date of Dec 2004 and valid till June 2006. She also got a new I-94 attached to the approval petition valid till June 2006. Now she changed her employers and got a new H1b visa valid till May 2007. She again has a new I-94 attached valid till May 2007. my question is :
1) Since her H4 visa on her passport became invalid in June 2005 does she has to leave the
country and get her h1B visa stamped on the passort or She can continue to stay in the
country till May 2007 since her H1B and I94 is valid till May 2007. My information is that
if you have a I94 valid till May 2007 you don't need visa stamp till the time you leave the
country. When you leave the country you need to get the visa stamped to enter again.
Please clarify my doubts.
