Need Advise

Hello all,

I had my I130/I485 interview on Feb 1st and currently waiting for namce check clearance. Already received my EAD and AP. (Approved in Jan 2007). I am in H1-B visa status and recent Port of Entry (Jan 17, 2007) on the same status. I have decided to stop working for family health reasons, will this cause any kind of issues in future like travel outside of country or out of status. I am planning to renew my EAD/AP on yearly basis until the name check clearance comes throw. Any one has any valuable experience or knowledge on this matter ?. really appreciate any input on this.

if you are not planning to work, you don't really need a new EAD.

Do contact USCIS every so often (a couple of months) to check up on things.

If you quit your job you lose your H-1B status. However as your have AP and EAD you should be able to travel and maybe find alternate employment while you're waiting for your namecheck to clear.
