Need advise re:interview date

My interview date at newdelhi is sep 23, and my wifes student-ead card expires aug 12, we plan to leave for delhi sep 10 so she will be out of status for 1 month, what should I do. We had thought that we would get an interview by end august as NVC sent the files to delhi end may. But delhi took 4 months to interview date.
Can soemone tell me what are her options?

1. get a H1/H4 petition on file.. She can continute to stay legally as long as it takes to adjudicate the petition.

2. send her to india once her ead expires and let her wait for you there.

3. just continue to stay. as long as the unauthorized stay does not exceed 6 months, CP shouldn't pose a problem
