Hi,
I need an advise. My j1 visa is expiring next year till end of July. I am subjected to 2 years rule because of the skill list. I already have received approval for the No Objection Statement from home country. I got my funding from a private non profit organization in USA.
My question is "What are the chances to get a waiver based on NOS in my case". My reason for the waiver is to continue my research on the project (on which I am currently working while having j1 visa) till the completion of the project.
Is there any chance I may be denied in my waiver application.
I may get extension on my j1 visa. If I am denied on the waiver that I will not be to get the extension. On the other hand, if I get a waiver then my research institute will sponsor me for the h1b visa.
All valuable advises are welcome
thanks,
