1. Do you have "secondary evidence" such as religious documents? If not, you can obtain affidavits from people who can attest to your birth.

2. leases, rent/mortgage payments, utility bills and so forth.

If you don't have any of the documents listed by hampton8844, then you can use any ID issued by the State or Government like a DL.

So other forms of proving your date of birth is:
1. State issued DL
2. Governemnt ID (military id, etc)
3. Copy of your passport (if you have one and used it for your case)

For your 1-year continuous presence you can use:
1. School transcript
2. Employment verification letter
3. Rental agreement/lease

Good luck. It will be an easy process. :)

Before May 2005 you had to wait about 16 years to get your card. This was due to the provision of the law saying that only 10000 asylum green cards could be given every year. Over 150,000 people were already in line ahead of you. The 10K limit was eliminated by Congress a few months ago. Now it is dependent upon USCIS processing speed, probably a two or three years.
