Need advice please!

Hi all,

I know there're a number of posts on starting a business with EAD. I just need some clarification. I'm on H1-B with pending I-140/I-485. Both myself and my wife have approved EAD card. We would like to start a business where my wife will be running it and I continue to work for my sponsor company full time. Here are my questions:

1. Can I be working for our business part time?
2. Can my wife open a business?
3. Can my name be listed as one of the owner for the company? (Since I'm the one doing all the loan applications)

My work place immigration lawyer says that I'm not legally allowed to be an employee of the business but I can be listed as an owner. Is this true?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

1. Can I be working for our business part time? Yes , if you have H1 through this company or using EAD and forgoing H1 status2. Can my wife open a business? Any one can start a business form a LLC in USA , even not staying in USA
3. Can my name be listed as one of the owner for the company? (Since I'm the one doing all the loan applications) YES
