Need Advice for filing EAD/AP

I have filled I-485/I-140 in EB2 category in Oct'2004 in Texas Service Center, my I-140 approved in Feb'2005.

My current EAD, AP are valid till 11/18 and the 7th year H1 valid till 12/18.
We went to India and come back on AP with valid I-94 till July'2006.
I have applied EAD for myself only, I am planning to wait till Oct 1st for 485 approval otherwise apply for EAD for spouse and I-131 for all of us.

Please let me know if my wife's EAD will not be approved before current EAD expired date, will she be out of status??

Any other suggestions???

------------------- if she is working on EAD then she needs valid EAD , if she is not working no problem she is not out of status if EAD expires she has pending I-485
** one can apply EAD renewal 4-5 months advance and better to file new AP for both of you
