Need a good immigration attorney in San Jose/Bay area

I want to file my EAD and AP renewal applications. My sponsor company attorney up in SFO is charging exorbitant amount for these applications. more than $600 in legal fees in addition to the INS fees and other costs incurred. Since I have been laid off by my sponsor company, I simply cannot afford these $1000.

Can somebody recommend me a good and reasonable attorney in the bay area?

You help will be greatly appreciated.

Download these forms and try to fill out yourself. These two forms are very simple and straight forward. I think you don\'t need an attoney for this.
 
Are you saying we don\'t have to apply for the extension/renewals?

I doubt if that\'s true. INS site doesn\'t say that. Can you provide some evidence on this?

Both the EAD and AP forms are one page forms..

They ask you for all basic information (name /address/DOB/ etc.)

You can do it yourself.

I filled out the EAD form myself and my friend filed his own AP.

Ellen is charging 200/hr. Is that right? What do you think of her crudentials? Is she meticulous in her work?

I have had a good experience with her. Very meticulous and thorough

She charged USD 1100 for I485,EAD and AP for me.
