hi friends,

Q1 : Please gimme Nebraska phone no. where i can contact for any info.

Q2 : My Lawyer has sent our I485 papers on Aug 3rd.
       We are planning an inida trip between Nov.2001 and Dec 25th, 2001.
        Do u think we are running a risk of missinf Finger Prints.
          Is it safe to book tickets for this duration now?

I am in the same boat. I hae yet to receive the Finger printing notice. the number for NSC is 402 323 7830. Please let me know what information you can gather from IIO
 
Answer for FP

It usually take 3~4 months to schedule the FP day.
The INS will mail you and your laywer an letter to schedule your FP day.
BUT, they also tell you "if you can not finish at the schedule day, You can get there at any wensday"
ALSO say" you need to get your finger print done before schedule day+ 120 days" ( may be 60 days or 180day, I forget this one sorry)

I think it is o.k to leave US , as long as your have valid visa stamping on Passport ( H-1 or H-4)

how do you do the rescheduling????????by phone or type out a letter and post to nsc???????

can we have a friend check our mail and reschedule our apt. by phone
on our behalf in case we are in india when the mail arrives!!!!

seperate NSC phone number for lawyers?

Folks, is there a seperate NSC phone number where lawyers can call and avoid the wait. I asked my lawyer to call and he cannot get thru the regular NSC line.

If there is a seperate Lawyer line, please post.

For Gadi : one month

gadi,

The INS usually send finger print notice one month ahead.

You do not need re_scedule your FP day, My FP notic print "If you can can not go on the schedule day, you can walking to any wednesday 1_00PM to 4:00PM".

It is a good ideal for asking your friend check the mail for you.
 
No separate NSC phone number for lawyers

I talked to a paralegal in my attorney\'s office. They reserve
a day and a person to call all service centers every week about
the cases(delayed or problem) they are handling.
According to her, there is NO separate phone number for attorneys at
NSC.. They call the regular 402-323-7830. It seems they spend
hours to get through.
