50 minutes ago I got this email ...

Application Type: I485 , Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status

Current Status:

On March 8, 2006, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

If you have questions or concerns about your application or the case status results listed above, or if you have not received a decision or advice from USCIS within the projected processing time frame*, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

*The projected processing time frame can be found on the receipt notice that you received from the USCIS.

is that a good sign :confused: .. did anyone got the same email ??
 
I think what the USCIS email message you received meant was that 1) they received the requested information / document from you, and 2) they were sending you a mail explaining their response to what have received from you.

Since they'll never respond if requested documents satsfied their criteria (whatever they may be), my tentative conclusion is that you'll need to take further action to respond to their response - either providing additional supporting evidence or justifying that they are sufficent.

pvlacal ... on the 6th my case Status was :

However because preliminary processing was complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.

I don't think this is a good sign , I did not contacted them either :confused: I don't know what they want !!!
 
It doesn't have to be bad news. It was possible that they were just asking for one more document from you. In their standard email, they'll only say "we have responded to your FRI...". At least, they are sending the request to you immediately, instead of sitting on it and then sending you something after many month's of silence. Your case could be moving fast after you iron this out with them.

the email is saying that they responded to my request for more information concerning your case.
I did not rquest anything from them ?

but we'll see what they will send ...
 
i got the same message 1 month ago. i havent request anything, but when i called them they did not know why such message was posted. told mr to write to texas. nothing received ever and the message is the same. :rolleyes: :(

It was the first time I laughed reading this forum.
This e-mail does not make sense because the only response to your request would be a GC.
I have almost the same timeline as yours, on 03/06 USCIS received my RFI, LUD changed the next day, and I have not heard from them since then.
I really do not know what is better - nothing or some e-mail that can drive people crazy.

ltsanis ... can you post your time line ? did you call your lawyer ?
 
I called 800# 2 months ago,they did an anqiry for me. 3 weeks ago i got an e-mail from cis informing that my case is pending review.my lud changed to on 02-15-06 we responded to your request for information--------did you call anybody?

Hi Africa ... yes I changed address but that was couple months ago ... I I got an email saying that they updated my address. do you think this is an address issue only. if yes why only a few people receive this email.

did you got anything in the mail ??
 
In my case, LUD changed 4 times after I signed up for an online account before final approval. I signed up after I received request for Medical and Bio. See below:

- Ist Lud Change: Feb 3 - after I did the Bio 3 (finger printing and picture taking)
- 2nd LUD change: Feb 23 - with message saying that they received my medcial and bio forms
- 3rd LUD change: March 1 - don't know the reason for that
- 4th LUD change: March 7 - right before approval. I got approval message on March 8

I think it has something to do with your address change.i don,t know why only few people receive this e mail .i did not receive anything in the mail for all most 30 days now.the strange thing is 800# is saying due to technical problem we cannot access your account.is the same thing happening to you when you call 800# ? my nd is jan.2002.

you are right .. just called and "due to technical problem we cannot access your account" .. :confused:

I don't know what is that suppose to mean !!

I just received the same email today.
I have not requested nothing.... neither my lawyer....
A couple of days ago, I sent my RFI, and they received/updated on the 03/10/06.
I dont know what's going on... I guess I will have to wait for that letter....

this "technical problem" has been there for quite a while already.
at least a month.
