One thing may be worth to mention is I did FP earlier than the date specified in the FP notice.

My wife\'s 485 is still pending. I am planning to call tomorrow morning to find out why.

The employment letter is a letter from your company stating your position, duty, salary and continued interest in hiring you. The letter has to be in a company letter head.

Basically, it is the same letter you submitted when you did for your I-140 except the date.

Most of company(including mine) refuses to put any promise on continued interest in hiring. So I just ask my company to indicate I am currently hired.

The word goes like this"I am writing to certify Mr. XXX is currenlty employed as full-time employee. His duty is ..... His initial salary was and current salary is "
