As I reported earlier, yesterday, my case was last updated, and I got a case-cannot-be-found message when I clicked on the case number - through my online account with USCIS.

This morning, I got the following message that says " On March 7, 2006, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready."

The irony in my case was that I procrastinated in filing my case - I was approved in Oct 2003, and I didn't file for green card until Jan 2006 - while it was possible that procrastination paid off in this case.

It was much quicker than I thought, and I want to thank all on the forum whose posts I benefited from, and wish everyone luck.

Again, my case summary:

Approval:Oct 2003
Notice Date from TCS I485: Jan 17, 2006
Code 3 received by TCS: Feb 3, 2006
Medical and Bio Forms received by TCS: Feb 24, 2006
LUD changes: March 1 and March 7, 2006
"Case cannot be found": March 7, 2006
Approval email: March 8, 2006

Man, thanks for posting about your approval. It gives us all hope.
I also didn't apply 485 in timely manner. My asylum was approved in 2000 and I sent my 485 end of Nov. 2005!!! Like you, I procastinated too. Mainly because I felt the wait was too long and also because I got busy with Life, I guess. I feel the same way that this is probably the only time procastination will pay off! I did my Bio 3 about a week before you did (but my case is still in Nebraska), so I'm hoping I will hear something back soon! I am truly happy for you, and I still think you are the luckiest person in the history of INS!!!!

Again congradulations! I hope you enjoy your green card!

Take care

Thanks for your congratulations. I'm sure that your case will be progressing very fast. Once Medicals and Code 3 are done, it should be quick. Wish you best of the luck!

It seems you had a IO who was very speedy with his work because he must have sent the request for namecheck to FBI almost immediately and you are also lucky you did not get stuck in the background check for too long. It is not so much about when you applied but you are more lucky that the process took sooo little time in your case. Lucky bastard, you. :p Congrats again.

Hi pvlaca,

first of all many many congrats, see my time line its almost same. I got approved in feb 03 and didn apply till feb 06. I hope i have my case with the same IO as yours.

I didn get anything other then ND from NSC that mentions to wait 570-600 days checking status and emails 100 times a day :(

But its so nice to hear abt you this gives hope that maybe we ll all get approved soon.

congrats again

Hi gcapplication06

I wish you good luck! As I mentioned in a different thread yesterday, my lawyer sent my application to NSC, but when I got my first ND notice, it was from Texas (TSC), which seems to be processing things very fast.

The standard message I got said it would take 850-900 days - just to show that the numbers really mean nother.

Thanks for the congrats I got. I feel that there will be more new good news for folks on this forum!

I'm saying this because I was really just filing the case like an ordinary applicant - I have no connections and no inside knowledge. Which should bode well for everyone who just wants to trust the system.
