I've been an invisible member on this site for a few months. I would like to thank-you all for the numerous informations that you've posted on this site along this time. It really nourished my soul and mind.
Yesterday, I received the welcome notice. My case was in NSC.
My time line:
Asylum approved: 2002
ND: January 2004

I have my green card in hand. I have one question... My national passport has expired , and there is a big chance that I will have to travel to my country due to my father's illness. What should I do? Is a RTD enough to travel? Am I going to encounter any difficulties once I enter the country?

I have read some post before, I think it is not safe to use your RTD to go back to your home country.
