Hi,
Just updating my status - I received my FP notice today for 12/28/2004. I'm going to try and get an early FP done at Atlanta. My wife (dependant) hasn't received her FP notice yet.

Glad to see 2002 ppl getting progress.

Recently many ppl from Atlanta, their spouses got FP, and the principal applicant are waiting,

Take ur spouse with u for FP, and try both FP, try it doesn't matter she didn't get notice. she would bring good luck for u :D.

I'm trying to get to Atlanta from CA on Sat, 12/4 with my wife. Hopefully she would have received her FP notice by then. The other option I have is to go to CA ASC and get my FP done here itself. I'm in Southern CA while my co. is in Atlanta and my case has been filed from there. I just think it'll be cleaner for us to go to Atlanta for FP, rather than go here in the CA ASC and explain why we're here in CA instead of there, etc. What do you ppl suggest?

As per my knowledge......... you can give your FPs anywhere in the USA.
As you are staying in CA, I think that is advisable to give your FPs at CA ASC office only.
Because one of my friend got the FP notice and the INS mentioned in that notice to go to Atlanta for FPs. But, actually he resides at Raleigh, NC.
Then finally he did his finger printing at Raleigh, NC only eventhough the notice shows Atlanta, GA.

These are my opinions. But........ finally ask your attorney for the final decision.

Note: I didn't receive my FP notice from INS........but, my wife got her FP notice and I went with her to Charlotte ASC and I explained my situation to the officer that I am the primary applicant and I didn't receive my FP notice yet .....but, my wife got it. The officer accepted for my FP also.

I am the dependant applicant and received FP notice scheduled for 12/15/2004 in Charlotte. But primary applicant did't received FP notice. Can you share your FP experience in Charlotte office. Thanks in advance.

Very nice staff, in our case dependent got FP notice, nothing for primary, we both went there and requested for primary FP, the did accomodate that.
 
Thanks GoTSC2002. We are going to try early FP in Charlotte. Can you post what are the documents needed for FP, both primary and dependant.

for non FP notice (Bring whatever you can think, to be safe), in our
case he asked photo id and proof of address (bank statement, paycheck, .....
avoid utility bills)
 
When I went with my friend for his FP last wednesday (His actual FP was scheduled on Dec 22), I heard from the officer that every wednesday is a open day (this is in Louisville, KY). I guess this may be in other places too. So, all the early birds (got request but attempting to do early FP), try your luck on Wednesday.

Documents required for FP
1. FP request letter
2. Driver's license (Take your recent paycheck too)
3. If you and your spouse have different last name, take your marriage certificate.
4. Your spouse driver's license or state ID showing the address

Hi Srusubu,
I am also in Louisville, KY - though my dates are much later that yours. However, our problems are similar - with I being the lone guy in this forum from Feb '04 not having received his fingerprints.
I wonder if you know many people from Louisville, who are going thru the GC ordeal (especially with fingerprinting) - and maybe we can come up with some pattern.
