ND 11/00, No RFE, Talked to IIO

Spoke to an IIO today. Told that "We have requested for a file from another office on 11/9. Please wait". Have no idea what file is required from where. Anybody in similar situation. Please advise
 
Was there a significant delay in applying for I 485 after I-140 approval?

If so, then maybe that\'s the reason.
My I-140 got approved while I was single.
I applied for I-485 only after I got married(almost a year after my I-140 approval).
My ND too is 11/00 & I keep hearing "final adjudication" for the past couple of months, No RFE,No Company change & never out of status.
I was just wondering, if this could be the reason????
As our ND dates are 11/00, let\'s keep each other posted.Sounds OK?
 
my lawyer says..file is complete as per IIO..,ND 11/08..still no news..\'best\' any news from you/y

 
 
Spoke to my lawyer

Was told INS has lost my file. He was told to resend a new 485 application with original signatures. He does not know if they have my medical or that needs to be redone..
 
No news yet...

I am not expecting for another 2 months at least. Maybe, we\'ll hear something by Jan/Feb 2002. It may sound too long... but my case is quite complicated and on top of that Rapidigm has got the I-140 approved for CP. Right now it\'s sitting safely somewhere in Chennai. God only knows when it will come back to VSC.
 
How do you know that your 140 is approved for CP
