GMC Does your salary matches with what was there in Labor? Just want to know, becauseour labor was cleared ong time back, so does it matter if we are getting more now?

No, not at all. I believe they expect that
we get increase/promotions over the course
of our stay with our company....

Tushar / GMC01 :

If I apply for EAD (first time) directly in Baltimore Office then how long it will take to get it.

My Transfer Date is: 06/04/01

Thanks,

NickI485, I do not really know for sure
\'cause I did not get our EAD directly from
Baltimore...we sent them in the mail.

I saw one posting though in this site too,
that Baltimore accepts walk-in and I assumed
they get them same day or maybe after 2 weeks.

May I ask why you need to file EAD at this moment?
Is your H1 is expiring soon? You may get your
interview notice in another month...

Hi Nandita / ListUser,

Did u guys come to know what happened to your case at Baltimore. I guess Nandita was supposed to visit Baltimore to find more about her case.
Please keep us posted about the development.

Thanks

I got a letter from Baltimore saying they would make a decision
in five months. I hope they are not too serious about the
five-month timeline. The letter said I should not contact
them till Dec 7, 2001.

Congratulations!! You are the first of the EAC-01 transferee to Baltimore to be interviewed and get approved!!

Thanks, Anastomosis! Yes, I got lucky
in this last stage. It only took about 9 months.
But I lost so much time during my labor
certification.... (my PD is 11/24/98) so I
changed lawyer.

Goodluck to you too!

waitingtime, you are mixing up things from some other case.
In my case, the office never said 30 days.

I think he is mixing your case with \'nsk\' case. I think for nsk the officer told that we would wait for 30 days to get record back from Chennai otherwise issue a approved letter.
Anyway, NSK any status on your case.

I am on project right now but in the end of this year it will come to end. And my Employeer does not give any benefits to me when i come on bench. And soon my wife will be coming from India also . I have to include spouse also in my I-485 processing. And Baltimore is also very slow now-a-days. For the safe side , I was thinking to get EAD.

Do you have any idea when I will be getting Interview Letter?

Thanks and have good time ...NickI485

Hi NickI485, I believe you should get your
interview notice sometime next month, this is
based on my experience and some of the people
I saw in this site.

Please note that when I got my notice for interview,
there was just about 2 weeks to prepare.

Anyway, may I ask you if you already had the chance
to renew your H1 since you were first issued?

The reason why I am asking because Nov last year, I
had to renew mine based on the advise of my lawyer.
I received the approved renewal notice last Jan this
year. There was a fee (I forgot exactly for what)
of $500 that my employer is supposed to pay for my
renewal, as required by the law. They said yes then,
but apparently my lawyer paid for it and now is telling
me I owe him this. Before I consult our HR again, I
would like to verify indeed if they\'re going to pay
for it because they are really required by law.

Anybody with this experience, please post.

Thanks,
GMC
