My (our-& my dependents) case was transferred to
Baltimore last 4/27/01. We received our interview
notice end of June for interview last Thurs, July 12,
with Officer C, Ms. White.
Here\'s the detail of my interview:
We came in at exactly 10.15am, we were called about
30 mins later, all at the same time- me, my wife &
daughter.
She proceeded to asked us to swear in (to tell the truth)
then provide her with our passport, driver\'s license, EAD
(if any- which she did not return after the interview \'cause
we no longer need them accdg to her), I-94s and birth
certificates of our kids (although our youngest is a
citizen being born here) which she later photocopied. Later,
she also asked for latest paystubs (I gave last 3 mos)
and W2 for year 2000.
She each asked us (even my 7 yr old daughter) questions:
like when\'s your birthday, where were you born, name of
your parents, when we got married. Then she asked me the
nature of my job. Also, she verified our US address and
when we exactly last came in, in the US. ACTUALLY, she\'s
verifying if all we said in the application are true and
still concise. We never changed address nor employment.
Afterwards, she said, I believe everything\'s in order and
we can approve your application today! Yipppeee! She
stamped our passport and took our fingerprints again.
Stamped passport is valid for 1 year only \'cause actual
card should be received in a few months.
That\'s it. Hope this helps. This site and all of you
has been very helpful to me. For the requirements for
the interview, please check my posting earlier. Copies
of documents they said needed to be presented were not
asked at all...now I have about 3 sets of 1 inch of
paper to be shred!
BEST of luck to you all! Thanks again.
