Hi, there,

Just got 6 emails from INS, our cases( wife, kid and I ) tranfered to Newark local office July 30,2004. We did 2FP on 05/25/2004, No RFE.

The fact is that currently I am not in US, and I dont have a job offer in US. but I have valid AP to enter. The truth is while my wife and kid are consistently staying and working in US in the past 2 years, I spent 4 months in yr 2003 and 6 months in year 2004 working on a project abroad.

I have two questions:
1.what is current timeframe in Newark to schedule a interview ? when am I expecting a interview in Newark?
2. When asked for employment letter and paystubs, may I provide a future employment letter ( intention to work in US after approval, but no recent paystubs) to satisfy the INS requirement, as I am NIW filer ?

I am really nervous, what am I supposed to prepare right now ? Gurus, appreciate your advice, thanks a lot !!

Sure

Transfer to local on 07/30, got interview notice scheduled on 09/22, no job offer in the past 8 months (see my previous post), got future offer in US(starting 10/1/04). I am NIW filer. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Will try my luck ! Thanks and good luck to you all.

Fams, I think you will receive interview notice soon, dont be nervous if you have a quite straight case. In my case, I worry about my empolyment status
because it is a future offer when interviewed.

Will post experience then.

thank you guestusa

From what I hear, all they want is a confirmationthat u wont be a burden on the system. There is no such thing as too many documents. SHwo all u have to prove you have the means and the job to support your family -past tax erturns, fture emp letter, bank balances, whatever .Its easy when u think of another person's case but my brain turns to water when I think of mine !:)
All the best!

Does the attorney get the interview notice?

Hi,

My wife's case was transferred to Newark on July 12. So far we have not heard anything. Does the attorney also get the interview notice or only the candidate get it? I am afraid that the interview letter could be lost in mail?
Please let me know.

Thanks,
ataknev

HI!! ataknev,

Have you recieved the interview notice and are you waiting for the notice for ur wife ??
Yes the lawyers do get a copy of interview notice.
My case was transferred on July 27th. Not heard anyhting yet.

No mine was approved on 6/25 and my wife's case was transferred on 6/16. I am waiting for the interview letter for her. We went to Newark office personally to inform them of an address change that happened two years back (though we sent the info to INS and INS also sent us address confirmation still they transferred her case to Hartford). So we requested that the file be transferred to Newark and it seems the file came to them on July 12. And so far we did not hear any thing.

Thanks for your response.
