as i was observing the trend for some time , it appears to me that people who
did FP exactly on scheduled dates are getting approvals more easier than who
did it in advance. i also saw many of the friends in my organization who did FP
exactly on FP date mostly dont have problems. But couple of people received
RFE who did FP more than 5 weeks prior to actual FP date.

no mail

i was to receive an RFE for my 140 but never got it in the mail. I asked my lawyer to call them and asked them to fax. Received the fax after 4 days.

On same boat

AVM said our APs were approved on Oct.10, and the notices have been sent out. But nothing received yet.

does anyone want to maintain a list of folks who received RFE

FOlks,

Is it a good idea to maintain a list of folks who received RFE with
 March/April Notice Date ?
 Any volunteers ?

 Thanks,

My ND is 03/01. Have not received RFE letter after 14 days.

AVM said RFE was sent on Oct.9, have not received as of now. I have nothing to say, at least nothing nice.

got the notice twice (like many other ppl). Eventhough the letter had asked to ignore if FP was done is past 60 days, my lawyer asked me to do it again since INS supposedly said that it was imperative for the adjudication of our cases. So I did it again. Now I am thinking it was foolishness...

got RFE and replied yesterday

Details: RD 03/30/01, ND 04/17/01. WAC-01-159-XXXXX, PD 12/99
FP 07/19/01

AVM said a notice was sent on 10/11 for additional info.
My Lawyer got it on 10/16 and yesterday they replied to the RFE.
They requested copies of 3 latest pay stubs. Nothing more than that.

The puzzling issue is, even after completing 180 days why do INS
need my pay stubs. By Gods grace I am still with my employer weathering few layoffs. And I was able to answer it. If I was laid off after 180 days and INS issues the same RFE where do I stand? What stand will INS take?

venak rao,

Do you have any stats to support your theory that if you do FP
ahead of schedule then you are more likely to get an RFE? If yes,
then please post your data so that your comment looks credible.

If not, please do not discourage people to go for FP ahead of
schedule.

Thanks,
Mitr

vine, don\'t think too much

Vine,

Same story as yours.

My lawyer suggested me do FP exactly the notice date (which I didn\'t follow). But I still don\'t believe that trigger RFE.

Done is done, properly reply the RFE and keep waiting.

Good Luck!
