NC Pending and processing of 485

I just wanted to get a sense of the experts' opinion on this. If NC is pending does the other aspects of processing (sending RFEs etc) of 485 continues or nothing is done until NC is done. Could some experts/gurus shed some light on this. Because I have not received any RFE's at all since last 2 years, and my NC is pending. However, I did do Code 1, Code 2 and Code 1 again after the 1st FP expired.

I am having exactly same case. ... No RFE
I have done all sorts of FPs, renewed many times EAD, AP , H1 , H4 for family etc. etc....

What did you do so far to get NC cleared... ?

- FBI fax .. email... Assit director email
- Senator/congress man inquiry
- Writing to USCIS

Are you from Michigan then who the senator/congressman you contacted , if you did, and what was the response.

I am planning to start all above processes to know status of my case with USCIS or FBI if its pending NC.

Apprciate your response.

Shamal..looks like they are working on it as FPs are also part of I-485 eventhough handled by different dept!
well...........Toxsic followed his pending name check and got it done

What is your PD?

Can you give a bit more info abou t your case? I mean tiem frame.

Thanks EB1DOC. I have been following TOXSCI posts. I also contacted FBI via email.

Today, I saw a LUD on a 2 year old AP (very weird). After that I have a new AP approved in Feb 06. I dont know i that was intended for 485 but by mistake it was placed on AP?

I wrote to Senator, Congressman, Director of NSC. Congressman staffer one day called me and told me that FBI says my NC is being done. That was in April 2006. I dont know if 'being done' has any real significance. William Hooton replied to one of my email with a generic response (basically cut and paste from FBI website).

I am not from Michigan; I am far away in the middle of nowhere, in Alaska. I belive Carl Levin is from Michigan?

Same here - tired of waiting!. My PD is May 2003. I am in EB1OR waiting since May 1, 2004.
