Hi,
I made an enquiry though our local congressman on my pending name check. I have received reply from the case worker as:

"According to my liaison, your file was processed and finalized on November 7th,
2005. The result was forwarded to the USCIS headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Your caseworker will inquire with USCIS to determine the status of your case.
Please allow 30 days for a response from the agency."

My PD is Jun' 2001 and 485 RD is in Feb' 2004 in EB2 category.

Did any one receive similar message and is this a good thing.

Thanks,
Vijay

This is super good thing, now you just need to wait for visa numbers to become available. I am also trying to get my congressman representative to check it for me, did you have to call congressman representative number of time for him to act ? I have called him once and send the details but no news from him so far...

Congressman

Our Congressman is Mr. Mike Honda. The first time I made an enquiry with them, 6 months back, they sent me forms that I need to fill in and sign. This is to let them know the problem and give them the authorization to enquire on behalf of me. That time my name was pending clearance and they asked to check back after 6 months.

This time I just called them and told my history and the fact that I already gave my authorization for the enquiry. Then our communication is via email. She mailed me after they placed the enquiry and now after FBI had replied. Looks like they are nice - seems she placed an enquiry with USCIS even though I never asked for that. I know about the retrogression stuff, but will just wait for their reply.

Finally, before they did all this help they asked for my zip code to see if I contacted the right Congressman. So, I am not sure if this congressman's office will be able to do anything for people not in their area.
