Hi All,

Glad to report that TSC IO reported my NC came back on the 11/6/07.
I used the age old POJ technique.

Same here, I confirmed through infopass yesterday that my spouse NC was cleared.
I took 7 months while mine was done in 3 weeks.....unfortunately the PD has now retrogressed!!!
The IO mumbled something like both our files are still on hold in Mesquite/TX and will be transferred early Jan in Dallas/TX. Apparently he meant to say that cleared NC were only updated on a quaterly basis which would explain why I & many do not get LUD after those. Just sharing what he said, I personally do not put too much weight on their explanations.
Still I remain hopefull since our NC are cleared, we're within processing time and we're 4/5 months shy of having a current PD (I am EB3 PD Jan 03).

Cheers

Still Patient, help

Hi Still Patient,

what is the POJ technique. My name check has been pending since July 2005. I would be thankful if you could please let me know what's that mean.

Thanks in advance.

Dial the 1-800-375-5283 number and choose:
1 for English
2 to bypass the intro
2 to check status of a pending application
6 to confirm you are trying to check status
1 to confirm that you know your receipt number
1 to confirm that it starts with SRC
then enter your receipt number
1 to confirm you entered correct SRC number
3 to continue to next step
4 for something about cases separated or some other crap... this is what gets you somebody at TSC. They'll say: "Texas Service Center, what's the receipt number"

all the best

Hello everyone:

Just wanted to share my phone call experience with TSC today and couple times before. For last couple times I called TSC and different IO told me that my wife's and mine name check has been cleared. So yesterday I asked IO when was it cleared (date??) and she said she could not tell me the date because it is inter-office thing. I called today and asked another IO told me that it was cleared on September 17th.

Can you please share your experience on how ture are these information? I just want to see how authentic these informations are from IO's.

Thanks in advance!

Myself and my spouse called on different days and asked the same question and we were given the same date for both of us. that should be credible. So surely they can give you the date.

Stillpatient,

Had you taken any steps to expedite the name check process.

my NC pending since Oct 2003.

My POJ experience today

Called up TSC again today using the POJ technique and the IO told me that everything including NC is clear. I then asked her what next, she said that my case would get assigned to an officer.

I now asked her what about our FPs they after more than 15 months old, she said now-a-days they just update their system with the previous FPs and FP date shows 11-09-07.

Lets see how long after this I need to wait for the next LUD or anything +ve.

My NC pending since Oct 2003.

Wrote to Congman(Sept.'07 last week): No response till date.
Wrote to Senator(First week of Oct.'07): Was very helpful, assigned the case to staff at local office, send me a form(something like a perm. from me to allow his office to look into my info in USCIS), said would take weeks/months to get back, still waiting resp after the last correspond.
Wrote to FL(First week of Oct.'07): No response till date.

Had initiated an enquiry in the first week of Feb. '07, got NC pending resp. in Apr.'07.

To add to this info:
POJ stands for "Prince of Jungle", the guy who discovered it. He does not roam this jungle any more as he got his GC in 2005. I learnt this info today itself.

Use POJ to checkout NC status, if stuck go for an Infopass to confirm NC status. If NC is still stuck do the following two:
FOIPA,
Symultaneously start an enquiry by dialing the National Service Center.
If NC is still stuck use the responses from the above two and send these as attachments and write to Congman, Senator, FL, Director of FBI, Ombudsman.

My 2 cents.

StillPatient/others,

My case is stuck in NC also since 02/2007. My PD is current, and is within the approval time frame for TSC. I had an InfoPass appointment last week, and they confirmed that my case is stuck in NC (my wife's NC which is the dependent case has been cleared). I have also opened a SR but I guess that will take some time to come back.

Should I try to initiate anything at this point - FOIPA, Congressman, Senator, FL etc? Or is it still too early since my case has been stuck for only about 10 months in NC at this point? Any advice/ideas appeciated.

Thanks in advance,

Still : Just start writing letters and start FOIPA.

Is it just sufficient if we write letter to congressman and senator's office.

Do we need to call and speak with their staff.
