Naturalization

Hi,
I have few questions regarding the N400 and Naturalization.

1) When I'm eligible to file N400 ?
As per the naturalization guide, if I stayed less 5 yrs in USA I'm not eligible.
But what I heard from forum and blogs in I can apply 90 days before 5 years completion. But I don't see this on USCIS site. Please explain.

2) Residential requirement.
As per the guide, should have stayed in same district or state for 90 days. I'm staying in the same state for more than 6 months but on different address,
because of volatile job situation I don't want to signup the lease. Do I have to submit any forms of evidence that I stayed in same state, if so what are they ?

3) No of trips outside USA.
I been to canada many times last year via road. I lost track of my trips ? None of these trips have entry on passport since I carry my GC.
How should I mention this in N400 form ? Shall I just leave it blank without mentioning ?

4) How long the naturalization process takes ?
5) what are the stages in Naturalization and how long the waiting time will be in between those stages ?

Thanks

1) You can apply 90 days before your 5 year PR date or 90 days before your 3 year PR date if married to a USC

2) Same town should be in the same district so you don't have to worry. Moving to another state on the other hand could put you in another district.

3) Just put down your best guess. They won't be too concerned with back and forth driving trips to Canada. Spending 7 months in India on the other hand will be an issue for example.

4) Depends, everyones is different. Months to years, just depends.

5) No general time, see #4. File N-400, get FP notice, Interview, Oath...

You can apply up to 90 days before you have reached 5 years of continuous residence as a LPR.
2) Residential requirement.

District service area is determined by zip code. If your residences zip codes are all covered by the same DO then you have established the minimum 3 month requirement.
3) No of trips outside USA.
I been to canada many times last year via road. I lost track of my trips ? None of these trips have entry on passport since I carry my GC.
How should I mention this in N400 form ? Shall I just leave it blank without mentioning ?
You must disclose all trips outside of the US that lasted more than 24 hours, regardless of whether they appear in passport or not.
4) How long the naturalization process takes ?
It depends on DO and individual circumstances, but 4-8 months seems to be the norm these days.
5) what are the stages in Naturalization and how long the waiting time will be in between those stages ?

Main stages with approximate waiting times are:

1)File application
2) Receive NOA (1-3 weeks)
3) Receive FP notice (1-4 weeks after NOA)
4) Receive Interview notice (1-3 months after FP)
5) Receive oath notice (0-3 months after interview)

Note: Processing times will vary based on DO and individual circumstances.
