According to the Document Checklist (M-477), you need to send the following 4 items:
1. Evidence that your spouse has been a US citizen for the last 3 years.
2. Current marriage certificate.
3. Proof of termination of all prior marriages.
4. Documents referring to you and your spouse (tax returns, leases, etc.)
For #3, what if neither I nor my spouse have ever been married before? How do we show proof that we've never been married before? Seems like this is an "if applicable" question and I'd feel much better if it spelled that out but it doesn't. Am I overthinking this or what?
