Heys Guys,

Yes! I just got a letter for interview after 60 days from the application. One of the requirements for the interview is :

Your passport and/or any other documents you used in connection with any entries into the United States.

My problem is that my passport is misplaced or any other documents used in connection for entry in the US. Can I go to the interview and state that or is this going to be a problem? Thanks for your responds in advance.

If you can not find your lost passport, then you do not even have a choice.
It should not be a problem. There is even no actionalble item on your part
(maybe you can file a police report about passport loss)

The only way there is a problem is that you have a significant long trip
and/or all trips total to 1/2 of past 5 years and IOs need to count to days
to make sure you are on the eligble side so that IOs need your passport absolutely

As HBT said, the problem can arise if immigration officer will have doupt
that you have not enough presence in US during past 5 years.
If you cant find passport etc, then my advice would be to take
document which says thete you were mostly here past 5 years,
like copies of your tax returns for last 5 years, mortgage/lease papers,
pay checks, etc.

Thank you guys all for the inputs so far..you both are Amazing! By the way I have been a green card holder since 1976! Yes, I am finally filing... so I have been in the States for over 5 years.
