Naturalization in another country after winning DV lottery

Hi!

My son has been recently naturalized as an EU country citizen (Romania). My documents (I won) for the DV lottery have been processed and right now we're waiting for the interview date (2nd nl). We're CN2011AS19***.

Should I notify KCC by email of that? How soon?
 
Yes, your son has to mention all his citizenships on the DS-230 form (it is nice to send an updated form). Moreover, if he wants the visa into his Romanian passport, and if they already requested photocopy of the passports (they do that is some consulates), most likely they might need a photocopy of his Romanian passport
