Below are my details:

140 (Substitute Labor) ND - March 24, 2004
485 ND - October 14, 2004 (LUD - 01/10/05)
Yesterday my lawyer called and talked to the USCIS officer. This is what he had to say: "My case is in the adjudication department and they are waiting for my original approved labor certificate to come from National Visa Center (NVC). Once they receive it, my case processing will continue."
I am not sure if the substitution labor triggered a request to NVC or if they request for everybody. And i also don't know when the request was made to NVC. Recently i had a LUD change on my I485 on Jan 10, 2004. Maybe that's when they might have sent the request to NVC.
Do you guys know more about this NVC? Can we call them? How long does it usually take for NVC to respond back to USCIS? I think my case is stuck till they receive the labor certificate from NVC.
