National Customer Center Folks are soooooo Funny

A few days back my wife received a letter asking her to for her 3rd FP on Dec 24th. Yesterday we received a letter from them saying that the Alexandria service center will be closed on 24th and to report there on Feb 4 at 12am. I was shocked too by reading 12am and realized that it would be a typo so I called the customer service center today for some fun.

They were puzzled too, I was moved between 3 service customer service personel as each one was not sure if there are some new timings in effect at the service center, they finally escalated the phone to a Tier 2 person who thinks for a while and says that she thinks it is a typo but to make sure you should write a letter to the customer service center askign them if they will be open at that time and also I should attach a self addressed and stamped envelope in my mail or they will not respond.

After 20 minutes on the phone with them and chuckling all the time I had to tell the CS thank you, put the phone down and started laughing loudly.

Man, these folks at the customer support center are so skrewed up.....even a bit of logic and common sence is beyond them I guess. Anyways, even in my wife's sorrow of waiting 26 months and no approval as yet, they sure made me laugh today and made my day.

Hope the year ahead brings good news to all 2001 filers still waiting for for 2002 filers too. Good luck, Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year.

I don't think they are funny anymore

initially I thought as the same as you do. Now they are just too ridiculous (you called it "funny") to be called funny....

I used to be with an immigration officer last month in a BCIS branch. To look for my case, he needed to impute the 13 digits. The way he did was exactly like what my 3-year-old son plays on my computer! How could he be an officer?! More surprisingly, he told me I needed to get 485 approved before I could apply for EAD!

Funnier? Nope. They are just such kind of people.

I got the same letter ask for reschedule the 3rd FP. I called BCIS for reason this morning because I searched the BCIS web site and found out Dec. 26 is not a Federal Holiday. The femal officer told me that yes Dec. 26 is not a Federal Holiday, but Mr. Bush give them this day as a Holiday, finally she asked me: Is he a lovely man?:)

I had the same problem for my 2nd FP. It was scheduled on Dec 26 which, this year, is a holiday. I went last saturday and they took my FP early.
Do not call them. Go to the FP office and they will usually take your FP on any day unless there is a huge rush of people.

I went to Baltimore office for my early FP (2nd) and I was refused and they advised me come on the same day posted on notice. So some BCIS office might not accept. Its pure luck..

I saw that you have two RFEs. Are they all employment related?

Yes, Unfortunately they both are same and asked for same details twice. Ain't they meant to be appreciated :D
