Hi everyone,

I just checked the case status online and notice my case is with National Benefits Center. Could anyone let me know what's that mean?

Thanks a lot!

It's a USCIS office in Lee's Summit, MO that handles N-400 cases. There they prepare cases for interview and then send them to your local District Office.

Oh ok. I thought it would be sent to one of the service centers. I noticed there are different processing timeline for the National Benefits Center. Would it normally takes longer or it doesn't really make a difference? Thanks!

I think they assign those times based on your district office. I applied and got a notice saying (from NBC) to expect action within 180 days. My DO is Chicago. I've read of 90 days, 365 days, etc.

Where does it say xxx days on the notice.

The notice I received does not say anything about # of days.
