what is this? I see lots of RFE messages, is this because of the spelling mistakes in name or something else??

Yes! spelling mistakes in name or some parts of the name missing.
Or in some cases verification of the name with the Birth Certificate.

I think you may be correct. For some reason I had in my mind that they only check finger prints at FBI/CiA or whereever they do that. But I didnt know that it's called namecheck. I checked couple other forums aswell. Noone explained "namecheck" but it did seem to be pointing towards the Fbi/police clearance.

I think we had some posts in the forum regarding the security
check, including name check. at this time the process is not a transparent "box" to us. but we are aware of
1) finger print, and
2) name check
the recent news about name check is FBI merged several name
database into one. it's necessary to have name check because
they have less fp records than name records.

You don't have to apologise for this man. I am also not sure about it. I heard someone talk about it some time ago.
They say that it is called FBI name check. It seems all our names and dates of birth are run through their system to see if they find a match in their data base.
This information is not authentic but sounds logical.
