Name Problem on 797/I-94

I am on valid H1B1 with "Name problem" on the 797 and I-94 (expires Dec02'03). My first name is missing. But My Passport stamping (done at Department) based on these documents has correct and complete name. Unfortunately my previous attorney or some one in the process has appended ("handwritten") my first name on both 797/I94 (Added text. no other changes)

My wife has COS from H1 to H4 and wishes to get her H4 stamping in India based on my 797 document (during August'03).

Do you foresee any problems for her stamping and travel back? Do you see any problem in my own out of US travel due to this documentation issue?

I am expecting my H1 extension to get filed in couple of months.
 
Long back ago, I know somebody who had a similar typo corrected by pen in LCA approval by some stupid counsel. That person's H1 visa stamp was rejected by then madras consulate and had to reapply with DOL to get it corrected.

But since you have the visa stamped in the passport, I think your spouse can risk it...
