Name mis-spelt question

I received the I485 approval letter today. I noticed that my name was incorrectly spelt. Does anyone know how to get it corrected? Anyone is a similar situation? Please let me know.
Thanks.

It would be helpful to others if you post your details like Labor PD, 485 RD, 485 AD, COB etc.
Generally the name is as per what you have submitted on your 485 application, but USCIS also might have done an error.
If it is the USCIS error a call from your attorney and his letter should do it. If it is your error ......, you better consult a good attorney like RAjiv Khanna or Ms Murthy.

I think the lawyer misspelt my name and not USCIS

My Cousin is living with a wrong spelt surname because of his attorneys error. He is now a Citizen wit a wrong Surname.
Only an attorney who had dealt with such a case can suggest what to do in your case.
Please consult a good attorney. And ask them to show you a case of similar type they have handled in the past before handing your case.

My First Name was mis-spelled in the I-485 approval letter. I called the NSC Telephone line and told them about the problem and that I needed to go get the Passport stamped etc. They told me to go ahead for the passport stamping and put the correct name in the Form for the Permanent Resident Card which I did and I received the Permanent Resident (Green Card) with the name spelled correctly. I dont think it is a very big deal !!!
When you call the NSC and tell them about the problem with the name they will correct it in their files and even send you an acknowledgement within 30 days. I have gone thru this myself so take it straight from the horse's mouth.
Good Luck !!!

rg585,
Was it NSC mistake or your mistake that the name was misspelt?
Just curious.

Could not figure it out since my last AP was also mis-spelled so I suspect the fault was with my Attorney's office, but not sure.
