Name Issue :(

I have a a situation here regarding my name, any inputs will be helpfully.

First Name: Dimitrius

Fathers Name : Sathianandan

Last Name/Family Name: Adipparambil

__________________________________________________________________

1)On my passport my name appears as Adipparambil, Sathianandan, Dimitrius

2)My College Certificates bear the name as Dimitrius Sathianandan

3)I did the paperwork for my green card with the same information as that was on my passport and finally when i got my green card it displays the name as Adippadambil Sathianandan D. I believe it got truncated. Arriving in America, when i got my Driver's License the information just the way it appears on the Green Card was provided, and my name appears in the same fashion.

4)I had a green card earlier (when i was a kid and my LPR status got expired upon exceeding stay outside America and when i returned again on a new visa, i still use my same social security card) and my Social Security card hold the name as Dimitrius A Sathianadan (please not a letter is missing in my dad's name)



Is this going to be a problem, I had worked with a handful of employers , for some it was to go with either of the above mentioned names. I had paid my taxes with no issues. Every year i get a mail from the Social Security adminstration that certain SS i paid couldn't be credited to wards me as there is the discrepancy.

Can any one let me know whats best for me ? i sure want to have Adipparambil as my Last name as some times my dad's name is mistaken by people for my last name, i wouldnt want my wife to be addressed as Mrs. Sathianandan. I am to file for naturalization (N400) in 2 months. any inputs will be highly appreciated

I believe it got truncated. Arriving in America, when i got my Driver's License the information just the way it appears on the Green Card was provided, and my name appears in the same fashion.

---------------------you did a mistake. when you got GC you were supposed to go to SSA office to update your SSN Card. you can also do it now. your Name on SSN card should be: Dimitrius Sathianandan Adipparambil.

----------------------Ask the SS how to correct the discrepancy. get your name corrected in SS records.

In Part 1 A of N400 you should write:

Last name: Adipparambil
Given Name(first Name): Dimitrius
Full Middle Name: Sathianandan

in Part 1 A of N400 write your name as on GC.
