Name Incorrect in H-1 Approval notice

Hi Experts,
My employer applied my H-1 b transfer. I just recieved the approval notice this week and noticed that my last name is INCORRECT. I am being told by employer it is okay to go for stamping with incorrect name.

Could anyone with similar experience please let me know if there will be issues when i appear for stamping.
Is there a procedure to correct this mistake. Please let me know. I would really appreciate your help in this regard.

my brother in law had the same experience last year and his employers said its OK even though the lastname is misspelt.. he went to Visa in Nov 2007 and had no problems at Consulate.. so I guess its ok. all other docukments and the original petititon is correct spelling.
