we need to go for stamping but heard people are struck because of name check or fingerprinting are not already there in database.

how can we know that our fingerprint and name check are there in database (i did for GC)? can we see the results online? or we have to call some number? please let me know.

Hi,

When you present yourself to the VO at any US Consulate, they determine whether your case has to go for name check/fingerprinting and any other administrative processing. There are too many issues to be listed here. You can read the threads for the various checks being done on people.

You will never know what is in the data base of your name, nor can it be seen online through any website.

Your GC processing is separate and has nothing to do with the name check/fingerprinting while attending an interview for a visa stamping.

Once they ask you for those checks they give you a time frame and then you can contact various sources (mainly FBI and DOS) for the status of your case

Further details - visit the forums and enlist your questions more specifically and you shall find the answers
