We sure should. But how? As it is they are not responding to the mails. Unless we gather to-gether and protest in a rally like the Hispanics did.
But I guess the legally entered people are far too little, divided and too pre-occupied to have any impact.

In regards to Name check,
1. We can write a petition and collectively sign it with our A# or any detail required by FBI for name check purpose.
2. We can request for a meeting with appropriate FBI personnel to discuss our concern

Since the only language that Americal legislators understand is that of money, how about getting hold of some senator/ congressperson and asking them to pass a bill where:-
If you want name-check cleared in one month pay $1000
If you want it cleared in 3 months 500$
Otherwise become an illegal immigrant by going out of status and then you will automacially be made a resident after 5 years of such stay
I am sure Americans understand the languate of money.

Need some clarification........please help
My I-485 is still pending with out any LUD since 11/10/2005 (this is for address change), after that another one on 04/29/2006 for address change again, apart from this there is no LUD's, but my concern is we got a call from congressmen's office last week saying that our security checks were cleared and we can expect a welcome notice with in few weeks and after that our cards,again a call this week saying that "its our mistake, your application is still under process waiting security check clearance, sorry". after this we called on tuesday to VSC to findout whats going on they said everything is cleared, but when we called today they said its still pending. we got the same experience when we went to infopass first time they told its cleared and after a month its not cleared.
actually what is going on with our application, please need some advice.

Name Check stuck possibility ?
Hello All,
Is there any possibility that we stuck in name check if we live in more adresses than person live in less addresses ?.
I read in some posts that USCIS will give our biographics sheet to FBI for name check clearance. This sheet is part of our 485 application.
Please share any thoughts on this ?

I think the name check process depends on your length of stay in this country too. Lesser is the best, few files to check. I have been in this country for last 5-6 yrs, my name check is still pending, I am sure that I have not broken any laws. My wife is here only for few years and her name check got cleared within 7-8 months. Also since I am a derivative applicant on my wifes case it may also be questionable to some body. Anyways I have been keeping this GC dream since 2002 and god knows when it is going to be a reality.

hey...did anyone call VSC recently or otherwise have any additional information about their name check status. if anyone has any details like
it was in name check ..but when I recently called it was approved...and so on

we called to VSC couple of times to get the status of name check, some times they are telling it was cleared and your file is with the officer for adjudication, and some times they are telling your security checks are not yet cleared so wait, upto now they are not giving exact info on our application status. god knows what going on with VSC.

They told me 9 months back that my files are ready to make a decision, and it is with an officer and to wait for 2 weeks. I waited 4 weeks and called them to get the status..since then waiting in name check hell..now they are saying my background check is not yet cleared...dont know what is happening...time to renew the 3rd EAD, may be destined to work in uncertainty..Wasted lot of good years with the dreams of GC...I am taking it easy now, let them give it whenever they wish..
