I am responding to your email dated October 20, 2004, concerning the name check
status of you and spouse
A review of the FBI's Name Check Program database concerning you revealed that a
request from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) was received
on June 3, 2003. This submission contained an error and was not accepted by our
automated system. However, our records also show another submission received on (** after i initiated an inquiry on 23rd dec**)
December 29, 2004, and it is currently in a pending status. You may be assured
that the immigration authorities will be notified at the earliest possible date
upon completion of your case. I am sorry we are unable to be of more assistance
to you at this
time.

The FBI completed a name check for spouse on June 3, 2003, and the results were
forwarded to the USCIS, Washington, DC.

anybody has any idea how much time it may take for them to get the results back. What a screwy situation.

What email you use? I sent one around that time too but haven't got any replies. Thanks
 
No this is not the only story

There is another kind of story. Where Name Check has been completed
years ( 1, 2 ) back, Fingerprints cleared and yet, the files gather dust
on the USCIS desks.
 
I have sent 2 e-mails to FBI on 25 Oct and 8 Nov

May be according to this thread, I might hear from them with the next 2 weeks
 
FYI - I sent an e-mail on 10/8/04 and recd. a response on 1/1/05. I believe they take about 4-5 months to respond. However, they said that they had not recd. a request from the USCIS at all....but we were just approved yesterday.
