Hi All,

Just thought of creating this thread. Please add your details here if you are stuck in name check. We will see how far back the list goes and that can help us guestimate when we will need to think about WOM.

Hi vscn400,

You have a good idea. However I have started this thread only for people who are stuck in "name check" and are near or beyond 1 yr anniversary of their application and not for all N400 applicants.

if we can have a spreadsheet, thats good but I do not know how to do that. So until I/someone comes up with how to do that I request those who are stuck in name check to keep this thread going by entering your PD/FP dates.
and any other timeline.(contact to ombudsman/senator/FL etc).

ok this sounds like an after thought but I am a little unsure about How to find out about the name check..Infopass and 1-800 numbers have given me no positive response.

Just like my other friends here...besides the hairloss,I also stand to lose my very precious girlfriend if this thing does not progress soon!:(:(The wait has been too long for us to get married :confused:

Also besides all the info,unless we have all the DO info,its hard to tell.
Any inputs would be appreciated..

Infopass, talk to IO (1800 number ask them to transfer to IO), hack FBI's computer, WOM, dream.... no one knows what. Ask ur gf to visit this site daily so that she is sympathetic to u and wait her life like a nun.... it will happen... ur case is not that late bud.
 
Baltimore District Office... they said they cannot do anything in my case yet coz the file is still in Vermont and it is going through background checking. I went to Infopass last week.

1800 number won't transfer the call to IO if you are even within 30 days of processing time for your DO.
Take an infopass.
Ghantabro there are more frustrating things then dealing with Uscis. Perhaps you have not come across them.
Health issues is one example.

We all pray for all of us here for sure coz we understand our pain and each othrs pain... wait will be worth... yeah I saw the boom too, but it can change drastically if USA does poorly.

I tried couple of Infopass but no use - My wife applied in May 2007 and took oath Feb 2008.
 
bvk we are in the same boat except that my wife have not gotten chance to board the boat yet... as she is waiting for me to become an American so that she can boast to every human being backhome who thinks that I have no plans to get her here in US.
 
what abt tourist visa

Hi Ghantabro,

How about having her apply for a tourist visa? if she gets it then your intention of bringing her here will be vindicated.

I do not see namecheck situation getting better anytime soon. (Not that trying would hurt).
Maybe write to First lady, VP, your senator etc.

I truly sympathize with your situation man and I sincerely pray that u get through this nightmare at the earliest.
Hopefully with all the focus on name check problems recently - may be we can see some light at the end of the tunnel.
